How to Install Venetian Blinds

Face Fit

For a face fit, mount the left and right bracket at the very edge and very top of the architrave.

Recess Fit

For a recess fit, mount the bracket into the corners and to the very front of the window frame.

If your blind is large enough to have a centre support bracket, mark the centre of the window and screw the centre bracket just to the right or just to the left of the centre mark.

Open the bracket gates. Slot your Venetian directly into place. Close the gates and ensure they are locked in.

Installing the valance:

To install the valance, place the valance clips approximately 3cm in from the edge and twist them into place.

Hang the valance over the top of the venetian blind.

Test the operation of the blind.

Fitting the safety device:

Next we fit the child safety device. Fitting the safety device is extremely simple, but one of the most important parts of the job.

Always screw the safety device into a firm surface like this timber window frame using the screws provided. Never screw into soft surfaces, such as plaster walls as the safety device will too easily pull out.
